To assess the applicability of HAQ in different regions, subgroup analyses were conducted for south and north China, respectively. Results: Questionnaires were administered to a consecutive sample of 133 RA patients. Cronbach's alpha showed a strong reliability among all the items. In particular, the internal reliability was higher when excluding the items about the use of aids and devices: 0.987 when excluding versus 0.963 when including. Construct validity was supported by achieving both of the a priori hypotheses based on correlations between the HAQ scores and scales of EQ-5D and SF-12. Overall, HAQ scores were important inferential factors for Global Functional Status in RA, which indicated good discriminative validity. The validation results are generally consistent between subgroups from north and south China. Conclusions: The Chinese HAQ demonstrated good acceptability and psychometric properties in RA patients from China. Two possible improvements for better use and interpretation of the patient-reported outcomes of RA patients in China could be to cross-culturally adapt the items about the use of aids and devices and joint use of mental health measurements together with HAQ in future studies.]]> Wed 23 Feb 2022 16:01:18 AEDT ]]> Relationship between lower limb vascular characteristics, peripheral arterial disease and gait in rheumatoid arthritis https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:48351 Wed 15 Mar 2023 09:56:37 AEDT ]]> Hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF) as a target for novel therapies in rheumatoid arthritis https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:29816 Wed 11 Apr 2018 16:12:20 AEST ]]> Evidence and value based healthcare decision making for chronic disease in China https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:30462 Wed 11 Apr 2018 15:33:42 AEST ]]> Prevalence and risk factors of gastrointestinal disorders in patients with rheumatoid arthritis: results from a population-based survey in Olmsted County, Minnesota https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:12381 Wed 11 Apr 2018 15:31:41 AEST ]]> Custom-made foot orthoses for the treatment of foot pain https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:5071 Wed 11 Apr 2018 13:20:04 AEST ]]> Three subgroups of pain profiles identified in 227 women with arthritis: a latent class analysis https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:33070 Wed 04 Sep 2019 10:04:24 AEST ]]> Important features of retail shoes for women with rheumatoid arthritis: a Delphi consensus survey https://ogma.newcastle.edu.au/vital/access/ /manager/Repository/uon:38152 1 on the RAND/UCLA disagreement index from round two. Results: Fifty-eight items (n = 58) were generated for rating and at the end of three iterative rounds, there was agreement that thirty-eight items were important, that two were not important, and there was no agreement for a further eighteen items. Item themes reaching consensus included footwear characteristics and acceptability and psychosocial aspects of footwear. Footwear characteristics related to heel height, shape, cushioning, toe box size, adjustable fastening, removable insoles, mid-foot support and soft accommodative uppers. Acceptability and psychosocial aspects included affordability, comfort, aesthetic, style, colour and impact on femininity.
